The California-based architecture firm Studio 9one2 designed the modern Etley Residence. It provides a balance between inside and outside. The successful synthesis of natural materials gives the house with a wooden facade an upscale, fashionable look.

Horizontal wooden strips give the sculptural facade structure. A highlight is the vertical bamboo garden behind the wood strips in the front yard, which gives the house a subtle Zen flair. The glass facades reflect the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Transparent glass surfaces offer a view of the lovely garden with a pond and terrace.
