Modern Planters – Water System by Evan Gant

Houseplants

This miniature modular aqueduct planter system was designed by Evan Gant. It is an interesting collection of mini planters that allows many different configurations. As the images show, water moves through pipes from one pot to another to reach the plant at the base.

Of course, large flowering plants cannot grow in these vessels; they are better suited to succulents and plants that need little soil and are easy to maintain. The system can be purchased for $75, which may feel expensive given the small size of the pots.

The name speaks for itself, doesn’t it? Soe Cup and the Toko & Noma Ikebana collection are vessels by Hanna Kruse. The fine art of Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging, inspired the designer. The elegant pieces are made of wire, ceramic, steel, and copper, and they try to embody this ancient Japanese tradition. The cups and bowls provide flexible support for plants and flowers without requiring them to be fixed firmly in soil. This collection was presented during Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.
