It is no coincidence that even today, water lilies have a special place in the garden. They can grow in a small pond or a fountain, and they are well suited even for beginners. Planting water lilies in the pond – instructions

You need a wide, shallow container. A good size is 30 cm x 45 cm wide and 15 cm x 25 cm deep. Like iris tubers or rhizomes, water lily rhizomes grow horizontally. You can use a basket with or without holes. If the container has holes, line it with burlap so the soil stays inside the planter. Use ordinary garden soil and enrich it with fertilizer made especially for water lilies. Keep new leaves and buds above the soil. Plant the lily in the center of the container at a 45-degree angle, with the leaves facing upward. Cover the soil with a layer of small stones or pea gravel to keep it in place. Lower the planted container into the water at an angle, then set it about 25 cm deep in the pond. Ready!
