Modern wooden kitchen utensils impress with quality, unique features and excellent design. How nice it would be to cook with carefree joy. That is the idea behind Pragma by Swiss-born, UK-based industrial designer Valentin Bussard. His creation contains two elements, a cutting board and a knife, designed to inspire new ideas. Anyone dreaming of an environmentally oriented kitchen design should also choose the right kitchen accessories.
Wooden kitchen utensils with a serrated profile

“Pragma” is a bread board and knife set with serrated edges, made from steel, aluminum and ash wood. The kitchen utensils have a sophisticated minimalist geometry. The serrated form of the base frame is made from laser-cut steel segments and echoed on the surface of the wood. The cutting board is made as a sandwich, with a sheet of aluminum between two layers of ash. The knife has a square profile and fits exactly into the indentations.
“Pragma” set: practical eye-catcher in minimalist style

Because one side of an everyday cutting board usually becomes worn, the symmetrical shape of the wooden “Pragma” cutting board offers another advantage: you can simply turn it over and make the board look new again. The unique visual system remains intact.
