White walls can become boring over time. For this reason, the following article brings a little variety into play, because there are different methods for making walls more interesting and attractive.

Colors are not only there for the sake of living; they also break up a boring, uniform appearance. The most important primary colors are blue, yellow and red, which bring energy to your own four walls. If you do not love bright colors, you can calm them down a little. To achieve this, mix two complementary colors, such as yellow and blue. This produces muted shades that blend harmoniously with the environment.

An original alternative for wall design is to divide the wall by color. For example, the upper part of the wall can be painted in a light brown shade and the lower part in a deep blue. Here, the cool blue is grounded by the brown color so the colors work well together.

Tip: If you use vibrant colors, they can be repeated again through various home accessories, for example from arshabitandi.

In addition to bright colors, the concrete look is especially fashionable. To achieve this, you do not need an actual concrete wall. With the following instructions, anyone can bring this trend into the home.

Accessories for a concrete look on an area of about ten square meters:

– Base trowel (consumption: about 500 grams per square meter)

– Effect trowel (consumption: about 100 grams per square meter)

To prepare the edges and corners, they should be taped, and furniture and floors should be covered with film. With freshly plastered walls, it is advantageous to prime them first with a deep acrylic primer, because this provides more grip.

After drying, the effect filler is applied and distributed to smooth the concrete look. The irregularity of the surface prevents the effect filler from sticking evenly to the spatula. Apply pressure, because this creates the desired appearance as the concrete effect flickers through the filler layer.

In the next step, the base coat is applied to the wall with a short-pile roller. Then use the cement spatula, which creates a textured effect. For this purpose, it is important to cross the wall with the spatula as you work. If small edges or grooves appear, that is part of the design. The whole process is then repeated. After about six hours, the wall is dry.
