Borreraig home in Glendale, Scotland is a modern residential building in a residential basement and equipped with all comforts. From the outside, the house built in 2011 from wood is not very different from that of typical houses in Scotland – the so-called "black Scottish houses" Both the facade and interior of the building. completely covered in wood and finished with abstract elements and modern architecture.

Architecture

The modern wooden house was designed by architects Dualchas for Buddhists and Presbyterians built in a populated area on the island of Skye. Both religions are characterized by the same ideology – promoting peace, dignity, love and inner balance. The small farm has inherited the customer of his mother. He wanted to build a home that blends in with the landscape and is no different than traditional houses. True to the concept of peaceful coexistence remains outside of the house – simple, restrained and removed.

Roof gabled house blends in some way organically in a natural environment. For his original concept Borreraig home has been recognized by numerous awards for Scottish vernacular architecture. A goal of the project was to create a place for Zückzug where you can relax after a hectic day. The wooden house has a contemplative and meditative. It consists of 3 buildings together – living space, storage space and a studio, all three run local larch wood, oak wood, stone, metal bed. The use of glass enhances the communication between architecture and nature.
