Madeira Hotel: An Oasis of Calm And Mediterranean to Hong Kong

12/04/2012 – The Hotel Madera Signature Suites in Hong Kong is the first Asian project by the Spanish architects Lagranja Design.
The hotel’s Spanish name leaves no doubt about the material widely used in the project: wood. It is an oasis of calm and Mediterranean atmosphere, raised 60 meters above the bustle and noise of one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

The nine suites, all different from one another, are rich in details made exclusively for this project in wood. Bedside tables made from pieces of oak, hand-carved wooden spoons, decorative gifts, wooden hats, chess pieces, and wooden shoes all contribute to the atmosphere.
