The Norwegian design studio Hunting & Narud took part in the London Design Festival 2013, presenting unusual mirror designs that amazed the public: the small round wall mirror "Rise & Shine" and a copper mirror series.

The rotating copper mirror has a steel base pressed into a roughly cut stone. The smooth, polished round mirror creates an interesting contrast with the stone. The design duo Amy Hunting and Oscar Narud are behind this unusual piece. Each tilting mirror can be rotated 180 degrees. The designers have indicated that the mirror was inspired by the visual language and movement of the elements of the solar system.

The second design by Hunting & Narud, shown during the London Design Festival in 2013, is the "Rise and Shine" mirror. The small round wall mirror has a smoke-colored finish and is attached to a rope that passes over a piece of birch wood. At the other end of the rope hangs a large brass weight that balances the mirror.

The cord can be adjusted up or down to change the height of the mirror, depending on the user’s size, or simply to highlight a particular element in the room. Because its use is deliberately open, the piece is not confined to a single room.
