This designer kitchen with cooking island is located in a modern house in Samford, Queensland, Australia and was designed by Kim Duffin of Sublime Architectural Interiors. The kitchen is light and airy, and it opens to an adjoining terrace.
Modern white kitchen with island

Thanks to the glass walls, the house has a magnificent view of the valley and plenty of natural light. The green landscape creates a beautiful backdrop for the white Corian kitchen. The color “White Quasar” from Staron was chosen for all surfaces so the room would have a timeless look and would not compete with the environment. A laminate with the beautiful texture “Blacken Ash” was also used to highlight and frame the views.

The simple design maintains continuity between the kitchen and the terrace. Aluminum strips in the wardrobes and door panels provide a seamless visual connection. These strong lines draw the eye around the kitchen.
Wood with a beautiful laminated wood look

The kitchen is divided into different zones and is large enough for several cooks to work at once. When everyone has a different task, there is still plenty of workspace for all. For easy access to utensils, cutlery, plates and other kitchen items, the Blum system and Intivo lift system were used for the cabinets and drawers. These features maximize space and improve the ergonomics of the kitchen.
Suspensions on the kitchen island

A key feature of this kitchen is the use of the solid surface material Corian. The units have been strategically placed in the room for maximum comfort. LED lighting has been used widely both inside and outside.
