The fine art of drawing and writing can be used in many areas of design. Although Alissia Melka-Teichroew’s modern wallpaper patterns are not strictly calligraphic, they have a unique and unmistakable aesthetic. The Ballpoint Wallpaper series is part of her work with Rollout.
Wallpaper Patterns By Alissia Melka-Teichroew

New York-based designer Alissia Melka-Teichroew takes the familiar act of drawing on the wall and turns it into interior decoration. What children often do instinctively becomes a playful design language, filling the room with artistic energy.
Parallel Vertical Stripes

Using different techniques, Melka-Teichroew developed six wallpaper patterns, from straight bands running across the wall to abstract scribbles. The subtle stripes become a real focal point and recall the spontaneity of childhood drawing, while the bolder graphics suit expressive interiors.

These indigo-blue wallpapers are also available in red, black, and gold. The inks are water-based, and custom sizes and color variations are possible. The doodle-like patterns give the collection its playful character.
