A spectacular house with a flat roof shows how original minimalist architecture can be both efficient and comfortable. Studio MK27's P House uses a clear single-family layout shaped by the site and the surrounding views.
Spectacular single-family home with a flat roof in Brazil

This modern family house with a flat roof, a project by Studio MK27, is organized as three volumes rotated around a central core. The concept opens the house to its surroundings and frames views across São Paulo, near the Pinheiros River and Morumbi. Large glass surfaces bring in the scenery, while wooden shutters protect privacy at night. A garden with a pool, terrace, fireplace, and barbecue makes the mild climate part of everyday life.
The program is distributed over three floors and includes social rooms, a kitchen, service areas, four bedrooms, an office, a family room, a home theater, a garage, laundry areas, and a gym.
House with a flat roof and an efficient spatial plan

Behind the high-contrast glass and concrete facade is a comfortable modern interior. The color palette remains neutral, as is typical of minimalist design. Gray concrete walls give the rooms a purist, slightly raw character, while wooden furniture and floors add warmth. The family house with a flat roof is a strong example of how a compact urban site can support a creative and functional home.
