St Leon 10 is a luxury home on a hill in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, South Africa. The house has views of the rocky coastline and a stylish interior where textures, fabrics and materials are combined with care. It was designed by SAOTA with interiors by Antoni Associates and completed in 2006.

This modern house was designed for a family with two young boys who wanted spaces for both casual family gatherings and larger parties. The property is built into a steep slope, with about half of the rear face below the natural ground level. The upper level appears to float above the glazed lower floor and terrace with swimming pool.
Facade of the hillside luxury home
The house is arranged in a linear plan, with rooms oriented toward views of the Twelve Apostles, Clifton beaches and Robben Island. The rear side is private, with no openings except the glazed entrance. A solid timber screen in a steel frame shields the facade.
Solid wood and steel facade
The solid wood door leads into the main living wing, which includes two lounges, a dining room and a kitchen. A sculptural staircase rises to the second floor and bedroom levels. The lower level contains the pool entertainment area, with a sunken lounge, back-lit onyx bar and wine cellar. A gym and second bedroom are also located on the lower level.
Front door and glass
At the entrance level, the interior uses a neutral palette and a subtle interplay of textures, materials and fabrics. Light leather and weathered wood finishes are layered with luxurious decorative elements, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
