Planalto House, with its flat roof and open floor plan, is a strong example of modern urban architecture in Brazil. Designed by FC Studio, the house is composed of two volumes: one rectangular plane set perpendicular to a slightly longer volume. Although the structure has a monolithic presence, the use of wood and glass gives the reinforced concrete building visual lightness.

The lower volume creates a shaded area for parked cars and also acts as a supporting element. The flat roof gives the home an important advantage: a generous upper surface that can be used as a terrace.
A Flat-Roof House Near Sao Paulo
FC Studio developed the plan around two living areas that can function independently while remaining visually connected. The house offers about 800 square meters of comfortable living space across two levels.
The private rooms are upstairs, while the entrance leads through a long corridor of about 1.80 meters to the main lounge. The property also includes a barbecue pavilion and areas for recreation. Large sliding doors allow sunlight to flood the living spaces and open the house to the garden.
Strict Geometry And Warm Materials
The windows open wide to emphasize the view. Concrete, wood, and steel give the rooms texture, transparency, and depth, while the interior is shaped by strong contrasts between warm wood tones and smooth concrete. Small details soften the atmosphere.
