Restaurant & Bar

Wamhouse design studio impressively demonstrates how interior design can reach an artistic level. Its latest original interior-design concept is called "Szwalnia" (Polish for "sewing room"). Designed by Karina Wiciak as part No. 8 of the XII collection, it presents a visionary club and restaurant that takes you into an exciting world of design.

Club & Restaurant Design "Szwalnia" creates the atmosphere of a real tailoring workshop

Interior Design

The Club & restaurant design was inspired by tailoring and reflects that theme on a symbolic level, as the designer explains. Large white surfaces on the floor are crossed with dashed lines, creating the impression that the pieces are sewn together with thick thread. The motif is beautiful, slightly bizarre and immediately eye-catching. It reappears in the glass table panels and countertops.

The overall picture is enhanced by elegant, heavy curtains in a sharp blue tone, draped behind the bar and up the stairs. Metallic effects and soft fabrics create the atmosphere of a real tailoring studio. Elements shaped like pins and knitting needles serve as stair rails, chair legs and chair backs. Small ottomans, stools and chairs resemble giant pincushions. Parts of an old machine are staged on a single wall. True to the concept, ceiling lights shaped like curtain tassels add to the ambiance.

The restaurant design creates a charming atmosphere

"Szwalnia" represents a successful modern and minimalist design, seasoned with a touch of magic. Wamhouse’s XII collection consists of 12 interior-design themes that each tell a story in a unique atmosphere. In another design by Karina Wiciak, eclectic furniture and accessories preserve the atmosphere of a slaughterhouse. The Wamhouse restaurant design is full of symbols and metaphors and stands on the border between architecture and scenography.
