Rune Guneriussen: Magnificent Installations in The Norwegian Countryside

Imagine waking up in a forest in the half-light, your feet in a peaceful place with an enchanted atmosphere. Around you are only the sounds of nature, the breeze in the trees, the light of the stars and dawn, and the objects and ornaments we usually keep at home: books, lamps, telephones and balls. Paradoxically, as often happens in dreams, these objects make the whole scene feel almost normal.

It was not a dream, but it was the first thought prompted by the dreamy and provocative photographs of artist Rune Guneriussen, created through a series of installations in the Norwegian countryside with objects from daily life. For a moment, not only for today, these unsettling photographs take on a slightly vintage color gradient. The images show real sculptures in nature, producing a trance-like state.
