The spherical mini-kitchen offers a striking solution for homes where the kitchen is the heart of the space. It looks like a futuristic spaceship made from two hemispheres. The compact concept was created by the team behind the Italian kitchen brand Gatto.
Spherical mini-kitchen with futuristic design

The spherical mini-kitchen sits on the border between modern kitchen equipment and futuristic design. The integrated system was configured with high demands on ergonomics and equipment, while still offering sculptural beauty and practical functionality.

The heart of the sphere is a carbon-fiber-based monolith. The upper half is raised electronically and fixed to the ceiling, where it provides lighting and ventilation. The lower hemisphere houses many integrated appliances. The surfaces include antibacterial technology and an odor-control system, and finishes in carbon fiber or stainless steel are possible.
Complete spherical kitchen

When closed, the spherical mini-kitchen appears as a decorative object. When opened, Sheer provides compact appliances, countertops and sinks. It includes three sinks, a hob with lava stones, an oven, a three-bottle cooler, a work surface and an extendable dining table. A microwave, pantry, drawers and cabinets can be integrated as options. Four folding chairs complete the concept. Sheer combines refined design, ergonomics and advanced equipment.
