Sustainable Garden Art: Garden fascinating sculptures of plants

The following images take you into a world of fairy-tale flowers and plants. Garden artists from 20 countries presented their creations at the Mosaïcultures International competition in Montreal, Canada. The botanical garden, founded in 1931, covers 748,600 square meters and has more than 22,000 species and varieties of plants in greenhouses, a large arboretum and around 30 themed gardens, making it one of the largest botanical gardens in the world. The garden art exhibition was held under the slogan “Land of Hope.”

Nature is presented here in full color, vibrancy and beauty. A roughly two-kilometer route in the Montreal Botanical Garden was transformed by artists into a magical oasis. More than three million flowers and plants were used to create 50 garden sculptures, reliefs and works of art. Enter a fairy-tale world full of wonderful creatures: fairies, wood nymphs, giant horses, monkeys, birds and more, all expressing closeness to nature.

This year’s exhibition title is “Land of Hope.” The art of gardening promotes sustainable development at all levels. Garden sculptures should also help preserve the biodiversity of our planet.
