Barcelona-based designer Susanna Cots designed the interiors of a cliffside house in Almuñecar, Granada, a project known as Pure White. White is the starting point of the interior: the sum of all the colors of light and a way to intensify the natural brightness that fills the house from its position above the sea.
The house is divided into five areas. The service area, designed to accommodate up to five people, is kept entirely in white. The children’s area is the only part of the home where color appears more freely, while the daytime spaces, the living room, dining room and kitchen, are designed so the exterior seems to enter the house.
Large glass openings connect the main rooms with the sea, making the ocean feel present from the living areas. The palette remains mostly white, with measured black accents and subtle textures that keep the spaces from feeling cold.
Wood details add warmth, comfort and a sense of protection within the exposed coastal setting. In the upper part of the house, the main suite occupies a cube-like volume, where white remains dominant except for a black carpet and selected silver-toned objects.
