This modern townhouse impresses with remarkable interior design ideas: doors that open like drawbridges and sloping surfaces that double as playful slides.
Interior design transforms the townhouse into a dream home

Located in Berlin, the townhouse is the result of original interior design ideas by architects XTH-Berlin. A variety of living spaces are arranged within the 12-meter-high building. Sloped concrete surfaces connect the levels and turn movement through the house into a playful experience. A bathroom can be screened with a floor-length curtain, while a skylight brings daylight deep into the interior. Zigzagging planes give each room a magical touch. When the large wooden flaps are raised, the bedrooms open toward a platform with a piano, and safety nets create a secure play area.
The interior design gives the building an aura of magic

A staircase leads to two bedrooms and to a living room with a bathroom that can be closed off by a curtain. The third bedroom is reached by a slightly rising bridge, while another stair leads to a reading platform. The final flight climbs to the kitchen and dining room, which opens to a terrace. Tall windows flood the house with natural light during the day. The interior design is defined by a restrained palette of materials, including exposed concrete, pale wood, steel, and wood floorboards.
