Colored glass can create striking light and illusion effects when used in interior design. We present the glass side table Isom by Sebastian Scherer, which visually changes shape depending on the viewing angle.

Glass side table with an exclusive look

The isometric representation of a cube creates intriguing optical illusions. UV-bonded glass plates in blue, green, gray and bronze give the design its color. The tabletop is hexagonal and recalls the shape of a honeycomb. The glass side table is available in two sizes – 60 cm in diameter and 25 cm high, and 120 cm in diameter and 35 cm high. Despite its simple design, it is attractive and a real eye-catcher in the room.

The innovative glass table sits on the border between art and design. Clear geometric structures can be created with glass, and Isom tables can be combined in groups of different colors for an interesting arrangement. The translucent layers and varied color intensities contribute to the attractive appearance.

Illusory appearance

Sebastian Scherer’s design creates a special atmosphere and expresses an individual lifestyle with high standards of functionality and aesthetics. Familiar forms are given new functions. The Aachen-born designer studied industrial design at FH Aachen and moved to Berlin after graduation. There he worked as an interior designer for GRAFT and opened his own design studio in 2010. That same year, Scherer received the Promosedia Design Award. His Aluminum series was nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2012.
