Flowers bring colorful variety into the home, especially in spring when everything is in bloom. But flowers are not the only things that can be beautiful and colorful; their pots can be just as decorative. If you want to refresh a windowsill, balcony, or garden, you can design and decorate flower pots themselves. There are several ways to do it, but the napkin technique is perhaps the easiest. We will show you the fabric technique and a few ideas for giving your flower pots a personal look.

Clay and terracotta pots are especially suitable for DIY projects because their rough surfaces help glue and paint adhere better. You will need flower pots, pieces of fabric with beautiful colorful patterns, and glue. To bring a fresh spring atmosphere into the home, choose motifs with spring flowers. Apply glue to the outside of the pot, then smooth the fabric over it carefully to avoid wrinkles. After the decorated flower pots have dried, spray them with clear varnish for weather resistance. This helps protect the surface from moisture.

If you cover only the lower part of the pot with fabric, you can paint the upper rim with acrylic paint. Tie on a raffia ribbon or add small buttons and beads to make your flower pots even more beautiful.
