The redesign of the relaxation area and modern interior of Koshida Clinic in Umeda, Osaka, is a project by Japanese designer Naoya Matsumoto. The new interior design creates a more comfortable environment for patients and hospital staff. The idea that well-being depends on our surroundings is hard to dispute. See how a warm atmosphere can also inspire your own home.
Modern Transformation Inside the Koshida Clinic

After the interior redesign, a resting and meeting area for patients and staff is surrounded by plants. This is not surprising, since green plants bring a pleasant, relaxing mood and large planters are woven into the concept. The soothing greenery has a direct effect on the human psyche, while the sound of water works like relaxing music.
Green Plants Enliven the Clinic Atmosphere

Planters built into approximately 1300 mm high wooden cabinets with open shelves not only beautify the area, but also act as partitions, provide privacy and visually divide the room into zones. Arranged with stones, they become real eye-catchers that bring a piece of nature into the medical clinic. Because plants need regular care, people are encouraged to care for them.
A Natural Environment for Patients and Staff

The interior redesign was carried out with modern materials. Interior walls and the ceiling are painted white to make the space appear as large as possible. A brown carpet creates the impression of natural ground and gives the room a warm, organic feel.
