The Karlsruhe rug maker is known for high-quality production, cool design and fascinating materials. Its models have appeared in Hugo Boss stores in London and Madrid, the Prada studio in Cologne, the Hulsta showroom in Tokyo, promotional events, trade-fair presentations and settings for Italian furniture manufacturers. Designer Luigi Colani also created his own kymo edition. High-quality designer rugs can be produced in almost any size and color.
kymo rug collections – uncompromising quality in technique, craftsmanship and design
kymo’s exclusive rug collections are now also available for outdoor use. To keep the rugs lying flat and straight, the edges are sealed with a light rubber solution and the backs are fitted with non-slip felt knobs. Through sophisticated printing and finishing techniques, the original material is given a new look: metallic accents, a natural feel, distressed surfaces and expressive effects. This gives each rug a strong sense of vitality.
Rug art in brief
For the rug "The Mashup," kymo received the iF Product Design Award in 2011, and its Concept Edition won AIT’s special sustainability prize as part of the Innovation Award for Architecture & Flooring.
