Modern Hacienda Bacoc was conducted in 2009 by the architectural firm based in Merida, Mexico Larraín Ríos Reyes + Arquitectos. The modern building with a flat roof and large water systems integrates the remains of an old wall Nautrsteinmauerwerk sisal plant, built between 1890 and 1910 in Seye, on the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. Many colonial haciendas and former Yucatan villas have been converted into residences and luxury hotels. Tradition and modernity come together beautifully to create a unique living environment.
Restored colonial building is modern residence
Modern residence extends over the entire surface of 429 m2 and is a modern interpretation of the construction give colonial. In this restoration project Larraín Ríos Reyes + Arquitectos traditional building techniques were preferred. The authentic colonial gaze is mediated volumes of open construction, choice of finishes and neutral color.

This sprawling estate received the spirit of the old haciendas in the Yucatan inside. The volume of new construction has spacious rooms, high ceilings and a large portion of the openings on the facade. Water and large landscaped gardens complete the gardens outside. Modern rustic ranch is devoted to organic farming and beekeeping.
