The latest project by Brazilian designer Eduardo Baroni stands out for its simple, minimalist aesthetic. The designer’s wooden rocking chair, named Mamulengo, leaves old-fashioned associations behind. Designed and manufactured with advanced technology, Mamulengo gives the traditional rocking chair a striking new dimension.
Wooden rocking chair with a minimalist look
This designer furniture piece was produced in Rio de Janeiro by the furniture company Elon. The concept is executed in high-quality materials and built from many plywood slices of different sizes. The slices are arranged vertically and connected horizontally at four key points, forming a single sculptural body. The rocking chair is defined by dynamic, sinuous curves that echo the shape of the human body. Mamulengo adapts closely to the sitter and creates a secure, enveloping feel. Its unusual appearance comes from a fluid structure, and the wooden rocking chair works well in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

The wooden rocking chair creates a sense of visual lightness. Each slice has a different curve, yet the pieces work together to form an organic, ergonomic shape.
