17/05/2011 – The White house is in Prahran in Australia and by Nervegna Reed architecture with PH architects for the Director of an art gallery. The house is situated on a plot close to the centre of the city. It has two rooms and further study which can be used to accommodate the artists, and a private gallery in the u-bahn.
The house is distributed on 3 levels; the entrance is in the middle, on the ground floor is the living room with a view to "index" the half-round court. The study, which is in the front for the invited artists includes a private bathroom. In the lower floor, the gallery is the cellar, illuminated indirectly from the front of the house to the North, through a skylight/roof window in concrete, which also has the dual function, the saddle or the podium.
The house works a bit like a Rorschach test: it allows to read the people, within what you need, if it hides the virtual images of a "?" or a number "2" on the front panel, or any other pictures of the architecture, such as the blurriness of the reflections.
The house somehow, is an experience in the development of the thin line between images, representation, and pure abstract form. No matter how the forms of abstract, the free Association of the residents of the house allows for new meanings, it is always different, that will change, the meaning and the images.
