Stephanie Hornig is an Austrian-born product designer who studied at the University of the Arts Berlin, worked with Patricia Urquiola in Milan, and later based her practice in London.
Minimalism and attention to detail shape her work. Clean lines, functional forms, and a careful use of colour turn familiar everyday objects into something lighter, sharper, and more playful.
Her camping-inspired furniture reinterprets portable outdoor objects for domestic life: a daybed that behaves like a sleeping bag, parasols, a water container, support structures, an accordion-like bookcase, and small objects that shift between furniture and utility.

The idea grew from Hornig’s experience of living in temporary places. Camping became a way to think about modern nomadism: the independence of being on the move, balanced against the comfort and nostalgia of home.
