Open Toys, That Is How You Transform Vegetables Into Geek Games

Turning potatoes into helicopters and eggplants into submarines has never been so easy: Le FabShop has published a free series of 14 components that can be inserted into your favorite vegetables and transformed into small geek toys.

They are called Open toys, and they can be downloaded here, just in time for cute Christmas gifts if you have a 3D printer at home or access to a Fab Lab nearby. It is a nice way to play with food and introduce children, the 3D-printer generation, to the magical world of DIY technology.
