Angelica Dass And The Research Of Complexions Possible

Who has not, at least once, lost themselves while looking for the right nuance in a Pantone color palette? The shades of every color are so numerous that it is easy to get lost in the maze of the spectrum.

Brazilian artist Angélica Dass was inspired by the variety of human skin tones to create a photographic series that compares possible skin colors with Pantone shades. The images are portraits whose backgrounds are generated from an 11×11-pixel sample taken from each model’s face. The aim of the project, Humanae, is to create a catalog of all possible skin colors. We love it.
