Israeli architectural firm Axelrod Architects, in collaboration with Pistou Kedem Architects, presented the white modern flat-roof House Afeka, with a concept rooted in minimalism. The inspiration for the design was the idea of a home filled with light. One goal of the project was to bring as much light as possible into the living room and make the space accessible through modern architectural elements.

Flat white walls with openings in the middle allow natural light to flood the living space. Seen from different angles, the exterior changes its character, from static to more dynamic and playful. Looking at the house with a flat roof from the street, it appears as a solid volume with elongated, discreet openings. The side view gives the impression that the upper structure is floating above the ground.

The lounge has been designed around a cube with staggered sides. A smooth transition between inside and outside is created by the large window. The exterior and interior are kept pure white and simple. The architects used translucent materials and lighting effects to reinforce the sense of brightness.
Floors, walls and ceilings in bright pure white
Inside, the effect is that the sky becomes part of the architecture. The extensive use of glass enhances the feeling of light and space and creates a modern, clean atmosphere. The bright white corridor connects the living areas.
Simple and white – a synonym for modern
The family home in Tel Aviv, with a total surface area of 350 square meters, was designed with an open plan. Axelrod Architects and Pistou Kedem Architects designed a modern kitchen, a cozy dining room and comfortable private rooms.

The dining room and living room open onto the pool deck, where you can relax beside the water.
