Wall veneer

The table and chairs, wooden beams, and wall paneling give the room a natural Shabby Chic look, supported by pendant lamps and a striking red carpet. The glass vase was redesigned with high-contrast silver paint as a table decoration.

In 2015, this house was selected by the Royal Institute of British Architects as one of the 23 most impressive new homes in Britain and was shortlisted for the Manser Medal. This award is given annually to the best new home designed by an architect.
