This small, modern apartment was designed by architect Peter Zaytsev of Za Bor Architects especially for his family. The compact studio is located on the 24th floor of the new Dubrovka "house" building in Moscow, Russia. The architect decided that the interior should be simple and light, but only in terms of decoration, not form. White was chosen for the walls, kitchen and bedroom: a simple, modest color.

The entire area contains a kitchen, living room and bedroom, which can be separated by sliding doors. When opened, the doors disappear completely into the wall. On the living-room side, the white sliding doors are decorated with an abstract representation of a giraffe.

Because the budget was limited, the architect had to leave some furniture to custom production. For example, the kitchen needed a contrasting black bar against a brilliant white background. After market research, it became clear that it would be more practical to realize his own concept for the kitchen counter. It then became one of the most important details in the living room: an impressive sheet-steel kitchen counter with strong, aggressive lines.
Sliding doors separate the bedroom from the kitchen
The bar is not the only interesting detail inside. Two animal silhouettes above the bed add a playful touch to the single room. Made from black cord, the rabbit and giraffe silhouettes symbolize the owners.
