We present a furniture collection from Thailand. Manufacturer Deesawat unveiled its latest furniture in Paris, with a series of wooden tables and stools inspired by different insect species.
A Furniture Collection With a Difference – Insects Inspire the Designer
The teak table collection by Deesawat uses legs made of polished stainless steel. The shapes are organic and abstract, yet still close enough to nature to feel almost realistic. Precise production creates an optical illusion: the tables seem as if they are moving, like giant insects crawling through the grass. The wooden pieces can be used in many ways, as accents in the garden or inside the home. The smaller pieces in the furniture collection are reminiscent of mosquitoes, while the tables suggest beetles.

Whether used as a side table, coffee table or small table for a reading corner, the pieces can fit almost anywhere. The furniture impresses with its sculptural form and can also be placed in reception areas. The tables can be combined with plastic or leather furniture. Its popularity comes not only from imaginative design, but also from precise manufacturing. The furniture maker has its own production facility, where more than 200 employees produce furniture. In recent years, the company has developed its own product lines and now also offers doors and flooring, while upholstered chairs remain one of the pieces associated with the brand.
