Architecture

The architects Max Ibanez and Claudio Labarca emphasized the natural forest landscape. The exterior of the house is fully insulated and protected from the cold with wood-finished panels. A steel structure, flat roof and two-storey building form are paired with solid concrete slabs and generous terrace and balcony areas. The glass panels used on the facade create beautiful reflections of light and help visually integrate the house into its surroundings.

One of the objectives of the project was to make the best use of traditional materials such as concrete, wood and glass while creating a warm, comfortable environment inside the building. Large sliding doors strengthen the connection with nature.
