Sustainable design from a far country – Vietnam was built in a pavilion of exotic bamboo recently. The pavilion is part of the new cultural center in Ha Tinh.
Bamboo Pavilion – traditional construction techniques Vietnam
Tradition plays a big role in Vietnam. The population has a close relationship with nature, which is also evident in the local architecture. The architect of H & P were inspired by the traditional techniques of construction in the country and has developed a bamboo pavilion in the new cultural center. The pavilion was built from bamboo, stone and clay. The open design can accommodate many people. The center conducts various courses – the pavilion is perfect as a meeting place for students and teachers, artists and craftsmen. Located in the center court, the pavilion opens onto the garden and the street. Thank you to the creative design, natural ventilation is possible. The light is abundant inside. Bamboo gazebo and small garden in the backyard of a cultural center
Interactive learning experience and is sponsored by the Cultural Center of Vietnam. With this in mind, the architects sought to make several small seating areas where people in small groups to talk. The bamboo roof provides protection against the rain and bad weather, and the little green garden is relaxing. It is a bamboo pavilion, which seems exotic, but at the same time very convenient built. The use of local materials has saved a lot of money. Especially in developing countries has prevailed in recent years the tendency to use local building materials to reduce construction costs.
