"2611" is a project for
complete garden equipment,
designed by Good Design Collective, a Montana-based team in the United States. Completed in 2014, the project marked the young team’s architectural debut. The multifunctional garden installation stands near a wildlife refuge in Bozeman, Montana, close to a protected habitat for wolves. 
Multifunctional garden equipment
Because the project had to be realized on a tight budget, the designers focused on the technical aspects of design and fabrication. The multifunctional scheme includes a greenhouse with planters, a garden shed, an outdoor fire pit with a seating area, and a nearby garden bench with more than one use. The material palette includes wood, steel, and concrete.

The two garden structures are clad with wooden slats and include locally fabricated steel elements. The concrete foundation walls were poured on site. The greenhouse is covered with transparent corrugated plastic panels, allowing enough light into the interior and creating a protected environment for plants, fruit, and vegetables. Large awning windows provide natural light and ventilation, as well as a generous view. On the lower level of the site, a reinforced-concrete retaining wall wraps around the open fire pit. The outdoor terrace is defined by its built-in seating and rough material character. The multifunctional garden bench is made with overlapping planes and concrete foundations, and it provides storage for equipment, garden accessories, or firewood.

Since the project is to be implemented on a limited budget, the architects were on the technical aspects of design and production. The multi-functional design, consists of four elements – a greenhouse planters, a garden shed, a living area with fireplace and an adjacent multi-functional garden bench seat.
