Terrace Design Planned for Extreme Coastal Weather Conditions
The client’s wish was to create a place for contemplation, relaxation and meditation. Because of its coastal location, the triangular plot is constantly exposed to extreme weather conditions, storms and salty winds. The landscape architects therefore had to respond to these conditions while creating an appropriate courtyard design for everyday life. Since a caravan park is located nearby, privacy was also important. The homeowner already had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful sea and coastal views, so he was prepared, if necessary, to give up the view from the garden in favor of shelter and calm.
A Safe Place for Rest and Relaxation
The comfortable courtyard design has a meditative character. A Zen feeling is emphasized by Asian-inspired garden accessories and Buddha sculptures. Behind high wooden walls that provide both a visual and acoustic barrier, you can let your mind wander and find inner peace. With a variety of textures and copper wall surfaces, Exotic Urban Landscape Architects created engaging visual effects. The chairs and tables in bright colors add a modern note to the garden.
