Rosary House: A Creative Home with Personality

15/09/2016 – Port: the major challenge for the design of DepA & Margarida Leitão was to create the personality of a house as a single family home without the need for a radical approach.

The hotel is located in the district of artists. One of the most Central and most dynamic of the city. The rosary, the house was in the course of time, a collection of houses, apartments and multi-family on three floors. This is common in a Portuguese city.

The building, built in the nineteenth century, has been renovated and redesigned, with the aim to create an atmosphere that is imaginative but comfortable, suitable to accommodate two families, your friends and guests. Result: the spaces are optimized and comfortable rooms, with a large wooden staircase. Neutral colors and furniture custom-made and a common area.

Today, the residence is the mirror of the soul with the cosmopolitan city of Porto: under its roof. It has a family that lived in this building for more than sixty years, and two architects in love with the city.
