The pool is surrounded by concrete. This not only provides protection from wind and weather, but also creates a solid industrial-chic contrast that harmonizes with the natural surroundings.

In 2015, this house was selected by the Royal Institute of British Architects as one of 23 impressive new homes in Britain and was considered for the Manser Medal. The award is given annually to an outstanding new house designed by an architect.
