Room divider system

Amass is a branching system of modular components that can be used as a room divider or decorative element. For "100% Design London" in the United Kingdom, British designer Benjamin Hubert was commissioned to create separation and privacy within a 200-square-meter seminar space where the "Hosting Talks" seminar took place. Used there as an Amass modular partition, the installation attracted attention.

One objective of the project was to provide useful separation while also catching the eye and interest of passers-by. The modular partition system Amass has a sculptural character and consists of three simple module parts assembled into a structure. It defines space without creating a heavy visual barrier.

The event installation used 46,000 modules. The structure is based on random natural repetition. The three modules can be aligned in different ways and combined to create variable structures. These three-dimensional structures can be used for different occasions. The clear geometric nature of the modules allows the "construction" of walls in different sizes and thicknesses, from 1 m2 to 100 m2.

The young London designer addresses environmental issues in his work and seeks to reduce environmental impact. Trade fairs create more than 600,000 tonnes of waste per year, mostly from temporary structures and kiosks. The Amass modular partition can be easily disassembled and reused afterward. The modules are injection-molded in polypropylene, and environmentally friendly materials are used in production. They are also completely recyclable.
