From old water treatment plant is modern loft apartment

An old water-treatment building was transformed into a modern loft. The renovation took 15 years, but the result was worth the effort. The interior has a modern industrial look that is not often found on the Cote d’Azur.

An Industrial-Style Loft

The owner, a former pilot, bought the building at auction after being captivated by its rustic character. Once the initial excitement faded, he realized the scale of the challenge and turned to experts for help. The transformation into a modern apartment took 15 years, and at times he wondered whether the work would ever end. With patience and the support of designer Bernadette Jacques, the project was finally completed.

A Loft Apartment With Custom Furniture

The finished interior proves that the long wait was worthwhile. Modern furniture fits the welcoming industrial atmosphere, and many pieces were custom-made to suit the apartment’s specific features. Large windows bring in plenty of light, while some elements of the old water system were restored as interior accents. Outside, a roof terrace offers beautiful views, and a heated pool provides a place to relax.
