We present the acrylic designer furniture by Japanese architect Takeshi Miyakawa. Born and raised in Japan, the artist studied architecture and design. He began his career as an artist. An exhibition brought him to the United States, where he fell in love with New York. Today, he still lives in Brooklyn, where he finds inspiration for his projects.
Modern furniture design made of acrylic

In his Visible/Invisible collection, designer Takeshi Miyakawa created furniture made in acrylic. The acrylic is coated so that the surface looks like a mirror. As a result, the furniture almost disappears from view. Several curves add exciting accents. The shape is achieved by heating sections of the material. The table and chair were designed as office furniture and presented at a show in New York.
Original interiors with designer acrylic furniture

The designer furniture made from acrylic is certainly original, like all the other models in the Japanese architect’s collections. It makes a beautiful addition to an office or reception area. The pieces always create an optical illusion. Sometimes it is a minimalist table with a hidden drawer, sometimes a wall shelf that seems to float in the air, and sometimes even a creative wall shelf made of cardboard. The surprises never fail, and they are always presented with a sense of humor.
