Victorian restoration

The challenge was to mix the cozy, elegant atmosphere of a Victorian house with the refreshing, vibrant colors of the 21st century, and architects Nick Travers and Justin Northrop met it brilliantly.

The founders of Australian architecture studio Techne have made this house a haven of light, color and refinement. Pop Art-inspired tables and lamps blend naturally with more traditional wrought-iron details and decorative frills.

The result gives the residence a more minimal feel while bringing it the modernity it was missing.
