The structure built onto the wall creates additional living space in a room with very high ceilings. Projectors can be attached to the underside of the duplex level to illuminate the lower area. Beneath the terrace is a place for the fire.
In 2015, this house was selected by the Royal Institute of British Architects as one of 23 impressive new homes in Britain and was considered for the Manser Medal. The award is given annually to an outstanding new house designed by an architect.
