The Tokyo outdoor chaise longue was originally designed in 1940 and finally put into production years later. In this case, the Tokyo outdoor chaise longue was designed by the legendary French designer Charlotte Perriand during the period when she lived and worked in Japan. It was a bamboo reinterpretation of Cassina’s famous LC4 chaise longue. The result is a poetic synthesis of rationalism and nature. Cassina now offers the design in different types of wood: bamboo, teak, and beech.
