Socks + Furniture is a project by Vancouver-based designer Greg Papove that shows how inspiration can come from even the most ordinary objects. The collection uses socks as a starting point for rethinking familiar furniture and giving old pieces a new role.
The project explores playfulness, humor and the relationship between people and everyday objects. By combining socks with furniture, Papove turns mundane encounters into design moments and invites us to look again at things that are usually overlooked.
The collection includes a sofa, a table and a lamp, each using the idea of socks in a different way. It is less about novelty for its own sake than about showing how tired, conventional objects can be transformed into something more thoughtful and engaging.
