What do you get when you combine a table with solar energy? A light source that invites people to sit down, enjoy a little magic and share a drink in pleasant light. Designer Jean-Marie Massaud created the "Earth" series for Foscarini, using the shape of the sun as a source of inspiration. The sun shines with a soft glow through the table, referring to sunrise and sunset. It is the perfect combination of floor lamp and side table.

The table is made of polyethylene and has a pleasing hemispherical shape. It consists of a satin base, lights and a round tabletop. The model has indoor and outdoor versions adapted to different environmental conditions. The outdoor model is designed to prevent rainwater from collecting.

This brilliant solar table can become a kind of modern bonfire, a place to meet and chat with friends at home or outside. The surfaces of the two versions are different: white wood or glossy black for the indoor version, and a brown textured material for the outdoor version. The lower portion of the polyethylene hemisphere remains stable even when tilted 15 degrees. The tilt determines the amount of diffused light, allowing beautiful effects to be created.
