"Home Sweet Home" is a project by 3ndy Studio: a comfortable home in Fosso, Italy. Completed in 2012, the house combines elegant hardwood floors, rustic brick walls and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Warm welcome in Italy
A home should feel protected, welcoming and pleasant to touch: not too big, not too small, and shaped around the lifestyle of the people who live there. It should offer the comforts a family needs while remaining simple, practical and easy to maintain. Energy use also matters, with natural sunlight playing an important role. This comfortable home was partly built with old materials taken from the grandparents' former house, including wood and stone that preserve a sense of family roots. Newer materials, such as Corian, were used for the furniture and stairs. Brick walls and wooden planks give the interiors an especially warm atmosphere.

The living areas are designed so residents can feel comfortable without sacrificing clean contemporary style. The simple interior is the result of a sequence of compact spaces shaped by the terrain and by the clients' different requirements. Privacy was a priority: the exterior walls facing the street have no openings, while the windows look toward the private garden, sloping patios and small courtyards.
