‘Hueso’ Restaurant That Seems to Be the Location of A Movie Set

29/09/2014 – It looks like a film set worthy of The Bone Collector, but it is actually Hueso restaurant, a place where cuisine, interior design, and visual art respond to one another. The project is by the studio Cadena+Asociados.

Located in Lafayette, in the design district of Guadalajara, Mexico, the new restaurant is the result of a rehabilitation project for a building from the 1940s.

The exterior is covered in white screen-printed ceramic, while the unusual interior envelope is filled with bones: a panoramic surface of 10,000 pieces, including animal bones and plant elements.

The concept is inspired by Darwin’s theory of evolution, combining references from the world of cuisine with contemporary art.
