Protecting privacy on a balcony can be difficult because many solutions cover only small areas. Still, a few strategies can help you make balcony screens yourself. It is not always easy to block an unattractive view with large potted plants alone, so try these approaches:

Distraction – when it is impossible to cover the view completely, create an eye-catcher elsewhere to draw attention away. If the sightline is slightly higher, low balcony furniture can help hide it. You can also raise a low railing visually by arranging plenty of planters along it.
